Daniel Statman

Daniel Statman is a professor of philosophy at the University of Haifa, Israel. His areas of specialization are ethics, moral psychology, the philosophy of law, and Jewish philosophy. He is author and editor of many books and articles, including Moral Dilemmas, Religion and Morality, State and Religion, Moral Luck and Virtue Ethics. In recent years he has published extensively in the area of war and ethics on topics such as targeted killing, supreme emergencies, ending wars, and more. In addition to his activities in the academic field, Statman has served on several public committees, including the committee that revised the ethical code for the IDF.
