Franz J. Eisend studied theology at the University of Bamberg. Until 2002, he worked as a pastoral assistant in parish pastoral care in the Archdiocese of Bamberg, and subsequently, until 2016, he served as a military chaplain in Homberg/Efze, Erfurt and Delitzsch. Since then, he has held the position of research consultant (Wissenschaftlicher Referent) at the Catholic Military Bishop’s Office (Katholisches Militärbischofsamt, KMBA) in department II, which includes responsibility for Lebenskundlicher Unterricht.
