Daniel Marwecki is a lecturer at the Department of Politics and Public Administration at the University of Hong Kong (HKU). Prior to joining HKU, he taught at the Universities of Leipzig and of Leeds, as well as at SOAS University of London from which he received his PhD. Daniel has written essays and commentaries for journals and newspapers such as “Le Monde Diplomatique”, “UnHerd”, “Jacobin”, and others, and has written two books: “Germany and Israel: Whitewashing and Statebuilding” (2020) and “Die Welt nach dem Westen” [The World after the West] (2025). Next year, he will publish a book on Europe’s role in the post-Western world order.
