Carolyn C. Halladay

Carolyn C. Halladay is a senior lecturer in the National Security Affairs Department of the Naval Postgraduate School.  A historian and a lawyer, Halladay’s academic focus is contemporary central Europe. Before joining NPS, she was a lecturer in history at Pennsylvania State Erie, The Behrend College.  She has also taught history and international relations at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.  She has worked as a research analyst in the Office of the Historian, US Department of State, and as a federal tax prosecutor in the US Department of Justice, in addition to legal assignments in the US Departments of Defense and Transportation. Halladay is a member of the District of Columbia Bar. Her degrees include an MA in International Policy (1992), an MA and a PhD in Modern European History (University of California, Santa Cruz, 1994, and 1997), and a JD (Stanford University, 2002).
